C Gessy Doering has C purpurata and C rex parentage and is a blue type cattleya. The labellum is a cattleya blue and the petals and sepals have a bluish tinge. C. Canhamiana has parentage of C purpurata and C mossiae. It has the C purpurata type shape but the colour of the petals and sepals is more blue. Expect blue C purpurata style flowers.
